Heels Are A Girl's Best Friend

So while all of Hollywood, nay, the entire world, was focused on Victoria’s Beckham’s breast reduction, I was obsessed with her shoes.  Uh, yeah, I’m not sure which of these two things is more weird either . . .

The fashionista was photographed traipsing around London in a fanciful outfit, complete with what looked like ballerina shoes that just scream, “pointe-pirouette-side-leap-side-leap.”

But a search of my favorite shoe sites didn’t satisfy my curiosity.  Louboutin? Nope. Manolo?  Nyet.  Then by happenstance I stumbled upon the answer: Betsey Johnson’s Ballerina Girl Ballet Lace Up Socks ($12).

Adorable!  As a little girl, I wanted to be a ballerina. I didn’t care for standing on my toes, but I loved the pretty little outfits. Now, I can live out my childhood dreams in these lacy socks.  They’ll totally dress up a simple pair of black heels and add a whimsical touch to any outfit. And at that price, I’m willing to try it out.  If they’re good enough for Posh, they’re good enough for me.
