Gotta Get GEOX For Style . . . And Comfort!
I’m in the midst of a mad scramble preparing for a trip to New York with my sister. Since she won’t let me hire a car to sherpa us around (boo), I now have a shoe situation.
At a smidge above average height, I’m very size-ist when it comes to heels—the higher the better! Posh, er, Victoria Beckham and I are sole sisters in that way.
So since I’m being forced to traipse the streets of the Big Apple, I’ve been hunting for a shoe that is both city chic, yet comfortable as I plan to do my part to invigorate the economy with some serious retail therapy. I’m so patriotic like that.
Comfort shoes are practically a taboo word in my vocabulary, but Italian shoemaker GEOX offers the “c” word in attractive styles. Another great thing about the brand: their revolutionary Respira(R) breathable padded insole with micro-holes to wick away perspiration. Which is a must if you’re doing a lot of walking to prevent chafing and wetness (gross!), especially if you’re planning on trying on new shoes.
As luck would have it, one of the many shoe sites that I regularly stalk is having a sale on the brand. These are two possibilities:

Stefany ($87.99, was $109.99). Kind of Audrey Hepburn-esque, no? Love the on-trend metallic that can dress up a casual outfit and the sheen makes it appropriate to step out in for a night at the theatre. And this pair can do double-duty, thus saving space in my suitcase to bring back more shoes. A savvy shopper always plans ahead!

And Chiara ($66.99, was $134.99) is a sweet neutral that is more polished than the first. It’s also more narrow at the toe and lengthens the foot, which is a big plus in its favor. The peep-toe detail makes it more warm-weather worthy and would be perfect with capris or a cute summer dress. And the price is quite nice, too!
Shop a fabulous selection of over 50 women’s sandals, loafers, casual and athletic shoes by GEOX at ShoeSteal.com and get 40-50% off. Plus, enter special code LUXESTEAL to save an EXTRA 15% at checkout.
But of course, no shoe hunt is complete without a visit to online shoe paradise, zappos.com. I spied with my keen shoe huntress eye, this “Nicole” siren slingback ($119.96, was $149.95).

The Dorothy red is sassy and a bit “sex in the city.” It’s so pretty! And the wedge silhouette would give me the desired vertical boost. Naturally, the one with the higher price tag gets the “buy me!” gasp when I’m trying to be sensible. Sigh.
What do you guys think of my picks? What brands do you recommend for style and comfort? Sound off in the comments!
