My crafty friend Anna introduced me to Etsy.com, a site for all things homemade by independent crafters.  This one-of-a-kind piece features a “vintage brooch of sweet red shoes, joined by a set of dangling vintage crystals. They all connect with: a line of fire-polished Czech glass in deep red, a length of vintage Japanese silver faux-pearl and gold plated chain, finished off by 14k/20 gold-filled, oval link chain and a gold-filled lobster clasp. A small, red vintage Swarovkski crystal set in brass peeks out shyly from between the silver pearls.” 

It’s the most expensive of the gift options but it’s so gorge I couldn’t resist.  Plus, this is a feel-good gift as the money goes directly to the person who made it so the gift of giving will be twice as a heart-felt (even if you end up keeping it for yourself!). Doesn’t that just warm the cockles of your heart like hot apple cider?
